Although all schools in the Long Beach Unified School District will be closed for classes for the rest of the academic year, construction work on campuses that are undergoing renovations or additions will continue without interruption unless notified by the Long Beach Department of Health to change our plan. Everyone on job sites will be required to employ best practices to minimize the potential for transmission to others. These practices include social distancing and personal hygiene to the greatest extent possible. We are working hard to balance the health and welfare of workers with the need to maintain construction schedules that enable students to return to classrooms when ready. LBUSD is complying with all government orders for appropriate distancing and protective gear.
